| Cancellation policy |
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged $50, and no-shows will be charged $100. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.

A $100 bond is required to be paid to the rental car company at the time of confirming this booking. This is only refunded after a successful relocation where the vehicle is returned undamaged and refilled with fuel. Excess on the insurance is $2300 and hirer provides the rental company with credit card details to secure this excess. (TransferCar does not share your card details with the rental car company). This excess can be reduced if the driver is over 25 years to $287.50 for the payment of $65. Additional free kms are added when paying for extra days – this is an extra 200km per day free with each extra day. This relocation excludes any ferry or fuel costs – these are arranged and paid for by the hirer. |
