Cancellation policy |
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged $50, and no-shows will be charged $100. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.

Ferry included for vehicle only. Ferry times are limited at peak season so subject to availability. Ferry bookings are to be made through the reservations team on confirmation. VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT: $1000 payable by CREDIT CARD ONLY (No Cash or EFTPOS bond permitted). The $1000 vehicle security deposit will be processed, (this includes a non refundable $50 deposit Payable at time of booking) and credited back at the end of the rental providing the vehicle is returned on time, undamaged and with the fuel tank and gas bottle full. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned in a dirty condition (this includes smoking related cleaning as smoking is not permitted in the vehicle). A fee of $125 will also be charged if the toilet and wastewater tank have not been emptied.Liability reduction option of $12 per day available to reduce liability to $500 per claim. Diesel tax may apply based on kilometers traveled (charged on return). -

Kilometres travelled in excess of the allowance will be charged at 28 cents per kilometre. $50.00 cancellation fee applies at anytime after booking has been confirmed. All hirers must have a credit card and valid driver licence. A 2% credit card surcharge applies to all Visa and MasterCard transactions and a 4.6% credit card surcharge applies to all Amex transactions.

Debit card policy |
Transfercar will not deduct any money off your credit or debit card for insurance purposes. All transactions will be made directly between the driver and the rental operator at time of pickup or via phone once the request is accepted.
