Safety Measures for Transfercar Community

We are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock. Our hearts and thoughts go out to everyone affected by this unfortunate event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities and governments around the world who are continuously working to safeguard us.

In this disconsolate setting, we want you to know that the health and safety of our customers and associates are of utmost priority. We thank you in advance for using Transfercar as a part of your travel plans. We understand changes and stress caused by the outbreak can be worrying and we wish to share the ways we can keep both travellers and staff at all locations safe. In order to regulate and accommodate safety measures provided to us by the Government and the travel and tourism industry, we request you to comply with the below measures.

  • All drivers must oblige to self-isolation rules imposed by the country where the respective relocation occurs. Hence if you still wish to relocate or reach your self-isolation destination through a relocation vehicle, you MUST inform your respective rental company in advance regarding your status and need of self-isolation. It is then upto the rental company to determine to accept or decline your travel. If you are unable to relocate, please ensure cancel your booking on the Transfercar platform.

  • Please ensure that you follow the health and safety guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health to assess if it is completely safe for you to travel.

  • The New Zealand government announced on March 21, 2020, that people should limit all non-essential domestic travel to avoid community transmission.
Therefore Transfercar is temporarily closing all our relocation deals in New Zealand.

  • For all bookings made within this period which is affected by the ongoing crisis, please select COVID-19 as the reason and cancellation fees will be waived on Transfercar platform.

We cannot stress enough the importance of protecting ourselves and our loved ones by refraining from unnecessary travel and contact with fellow members of our communities during this period. We hope to continue to provide optimal services to both our customers and associates during this global health crisis.

Take care of one another.
